Douglas and Wiehe

Ken and Ingrid Douglas, Basehor, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Douglas to Peter Wiehe Jr.
Peter is the son of Peter and Jeannie Wiehe, Lansing.
The wedding is scheduled Aug. 20, 2008, in Wyandotte County Park, Kansas City, Kan.

Shirley and Santos

Jim and Patti Shirley of Bonner Springs announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Arlene Shirley to Keith David Santos.
The future bride graduated in January 2008 from Central Christian College in McPherson and is employed at State Street Financial in Kansas City, Mo. She lives in Bonner Springs.
The prospective groom is the son of David and Lisa Santos of Texas City, Texas. He is a student at Sterling College in Sterling, Kan., and is on track to graduate in May 2009 with a business degree.
The couple plan to wed in summer of 2009.

Barron and Hood

Briana Barron and Steve Hood announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Donita Anderson and Steve Barron, of Basehor and Piper, respectively. She is a 2002 graduate of Basehor-Linwood High School and will graduate from Kansas University with a master's degree in organic chemistry.
The prospective groom is the son of Roger and Marjorie Hood of Topeka. He is a 2001 graduate of Cair Paravel-Latin School and a 2006 graduate of KU with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy.
The couple is planning a private wedding and will celebrate with family and friends on May 23 at the Great Overland Station in Topeka. They will be residing in Milwaukee, where Briana will pursue a law degree at Marquette University. Steve will also continue his education with plans of master's and doctoral degrees.
