Brooks
Pastors Norman L. and Ann Brooks of Basehor will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married Feb. 11, 1960, in Kansas City, Kan. Norman and Ann met at Victoria Tabernacle through the Christ Ambassador’s Youth Group.
Their desire to be in ministry led them to Pastor Victory Assembly of God in Bonner Springs.
Their family includes a son, Norman Tracy Brooks, and his wife, Vickie, of Bonner Springs, and daughter, Shelly Workman, and husband, Charles, of Shawnee. The Brookses have been blessed with six grandchildren.
A May celebration is planned for the couple.

How has the recent heat advisory altered your daily activities?
“Actually, we’ve spent more time outside lately working hardcore on our backyard doing some major landscaping. Lots of water breaks helped us through it. Since being outside so much, the warm weather doesn’t phase me anymore.”
