Severe Weather Safety and Disaster Preparedness 'Chat and Chew'

Shawnee resident Marty Augustine is planning a chat and chew event to discuss severe weather safety and disaster preparedness and to sign copies of his preparedness book, “At Ground Zero.”
The free event is scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. April 28 at the Ridge antique mall, 7410 Nieman Road. Food and drinks will be available.
Augustine, a Mission police officer, recently began his own safety education business, Safe Kansas, safekansas.com. He offers training in various aspects of safety education and consulting for individuals, homes and businesses.
