Finding Sgt. Schneller

To the editor:

I am trying to locate relatives of Staff Sgt. George L. Schneller. Staff Sgt. Schneller was killed off the coast of Norway on November 16, 1943. My uncle was on the same plane.

We have recently found, after 57 years, where his remains are buried. Staff Sgt. Schneller was on the crew list as being from Kansas. I began to wonder where specifically he was from. I have so far found out only that he was from Wyandotte County. He was listed as FOD which is finding of death. That occured when the person had been listed as missing for at least a year.

I thought if his family still lived in Wyandotte County, I could contact them, and let them know where they might look for his remains, if they don't already know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know that his family at least knew one crew member had been found.

A heartfelt thank you

To the editor:

I wish to thank everyone who was responsible for making it possible for anyone who was alone or homebound on Thanksgiving Day to receive a dinner.

I know a lot of work was done and I, for one, really appreciated the time and effort everyone put into this.

I am homebound and the two gentlemen who brought my dinner to my apartment were very nice and courteous.
