Sexual purity focus of workshop

April 3, 2008

A workshop titled "Men of Integrity" is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, at the Savior Pastoral Center, 12601 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kan.

"The goal is to bring together all men who are willing to take a stand for sexual purity and integrity," said Sam Meier, who coordinates a nationally recognized anti-pornography initiative originated by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. "We need to talk about these issues, because all men face them in one form or another in our culture."

Meier's intent is to inspire men to live lives of sexual integrity, but to also rally them to extend this to their surrounding society.

Four topics for the workshop:

¢ Protecting families from Internet pornography

¢ Protecting society through social activism

¢ Protecting marriages through teachings about the gift of human sexuality

¢ Protecting themselves through honesty and accountability

All men 18 and older are welcome to attend the workshop.

A $7 fee covers breakfast and materials. Men interested in attending the workshop should contact Meier by calling (913) 647-0378, or by sending him an e-mail at smeier@archkck.org.
