Walkers lead track squad at home meet

The Bonner Springs boys track team held off Schlagle and Ottawa Monday night to win the Bonner Springs Invitational.
The meet originally was scheduled for last Thursday, but it was canceled after thunderstorms soaked the area.
Bonner Springs scored a meet high of 97 points, outdistancing second-place Schlagle by 14 for the team championship.
The Walker twins, Jonathan and Jeremy, dominated the meet. They combined to take first in the long jump, 110-meter hurdles, triple jump, 200, 100 and made up half of the 400-meter relay team.
The BSHS girls finished fourth.
