Despite some early morning sprinkles, Saturday's events for Bonner Springs's yearly Tiblow Days festival got off to an enthusiastic start as people lined the streets downtown to watch the parade.

With the sound of marching bands making their way through the streets, cheers filled the air as floats decorated in various themes started as Nettleton and Morse streets and made their way south to Oak Street.

Following the parade, trophies were given out to the top float entries.

Trophy winners for the 2008 Tiblow Days parade are as follows:

¢ First place: Senior Center

¢ Second place: Bonner Beautiful

¢ Third place: Bonner Springs Baptist Church, "Kids Under Construction"

¢ Best school spirit entry: USD 204 Elementaries

¢ Best youth entry: All the Right Moves

¢ Best walking unit: Basehor Band

¢ Best business entry: ReMax

¢ Best saddle club or horse drawn entry: Corner Barber Shop

¢ Bonner Springs High School Booster Club award: Bonner Springs High School Band

¢ Bank MidWest/ Edwardsville award: Alden-Harrington Funeral Home
