Bonner Springs girls fall to Bishop Ward

The Bonner Springs High School girls basketball team lost to Bishop Ward on Tuesday night.
The Cyclones outscored the Braves girls team 11-9 in the final quarter of play to win a game that had been a battle throughout.
Bonner Springs jumped out to a 17-8 lead in the game.
Bishop Ward cut the lead in the second quarter by outscoring Bonner Springs 11-6 and the score was 23-19 at intermission.
In the second half, Bishop Ward continued to cut the lead and outscored the Braves 16-11 in the third quarter.
The score was 34-33 at the end of the third quarter.
Kelsey Stanbrough scored 11 points in the game. Chelsea Crouch led Bonner Springs with 10 points.
The Braves' other scorers in the basketball game were Lynsey Ostman, 8; Ashlee Espinoza, 6; Felisha Leipard, 4. Bonner Springs plays host to Mill Valley on Friday.
