Kiwanis hears report on election workers
July 2, 2008
The need for additional workers during the primary and general elections was presented to the Edwardsville Kiwanis Club during its meeting last week at Sister's Restaurant.
Matt Woehrle, program coordinator with the Wyandotte County Election Office, explained the duties and training available for election workers. He said election officials expect a low turnout for the primary election and, possibly, a record turnout for the general election.
In addition, the club named Harry Tennant and Ray Bailey as delegates to the Kiwanis state convention in Topeka.
