Chamber lucheon to honor businesses

The Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Area Chamber of Commerce will put on a Kansas Business Appreciation Recognition luncheon at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, June 12, at the Edwardsville Community Center, 696 S. Third St.
Lunch is free for attendees who have RSVP'd by calling the chamber at (913) 422-5044 or e-mailing bilesc@ hotmail.com with a business name and number attending.
The chamber and the Bonner Beautiful Commission will make presentations and door prizes will be given away. There will be a table at the luncheon to display promotional materials of local businesses.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
