Services for Fred Goble, 94, of Bonner Springs, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Goble died Monday March 24, 2008, at the Medicalodge of Gardner.
He was born Jan 23, 1914, in Piper and was a lifelong Wyandotte County resident.
His wife of 71 years, Lucy (Miller) Goble, died in 2005. A son, Larry, died in 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Roberta McCully, Kansas City, Kan., and Catherine Bowen, Bonner Springs; a son, Fredie, Stephenville, Texas, seven grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Chick and Betty Hiett.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family suggests a donation to the charity of the donor's choice.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
