Services for Nell Justice-Walje, 84, of Kansas City, Kan., will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Ky.
Mrs. Justice-Walje died Monday, March 24, 2008, at the Garden Terrace of Overland Park..
She was born April 22, 1923, in Baxter, Ky., the daughter of Vernon and Hattie Parsons.
Mrs. Justice-Walje was a member of the Stony Point Christian Church. She served many hospitals in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio in the area of insurance. She ended her working career driving as a courier for her son in his delivery business in Kansas City.
She was married to Hassel Justice in 1944; he died in 1981. She married Charles Walje in 1992, and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Vernon Justice, Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, Virginia Luce, Otterbein, Ind.; a sister, Sina Balltrip; two brothers, Howard and Henry Parsons; two grandsons; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
The family suggests memorials to Stony Point Christian Church, Crossroads Hospice, or the Alzheimer's Association, sent in care of the funeral home.
