Holiday changes Chieftain schedule

Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, The Chieftain will have early advertising deadlines.
For display advertising, the deadline to reserve space is 4 p.m. Thursday. For classified advertising, the deadline is 10 a.m. Monday.
To place a display ad, please contact Sherri Waterman at The Chieftain office, (913) 422-2163. For classified advertisements, please call The Chieftain’s community classified line toll free at (866) 823-8220.
Classified ads may be paid for via credit card over the phone or payment may be dropped off at The Chieftain’s office, 128 Oak St., Bonner Springs.
The Chieftain also will be published and delivered Wednesday rather than the normal Thursday publication because of Thanksgiving.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
