Soto, Parker lauded by KVL

Two Bonner Springs High School boys soccer players earned All-Kaw Valley League honors.
The awards were voted on by league coaches.
Senior forward Alex Soto earned All-KVL first team honors as a utility player. Although he played forward, Soto was one of the league’s most versatile players as both a distributor and goal scorer. It was the first time in his career that Soto has been an all-league selection.
Senior midfielder Garrett Parker also was recognized by the league coaches. He was a second-team selection. Parker was a first-team selection in 2007 as a utility player.
BSHS finished the season with a 7-8-1 record and lost in the Class 5A regional finals to state champion St. Thomas Aquinas.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
