BSHS freshmen hold off Mill Valley for football victory

The Bonner Springs High School freshman football team knocked off Mill Valley on Monday in dramatic fashion.
The Jaguars stormed out to a lopsided halftime advantage before the Braves rallied in furious fashion for a 26-24 victory.
Mill Valley found the endzone on its opening possession for a 6-0 lead. Bonner answered with a touchdown of its own, but after that the Braves' offense grinded to a halt for the rest of the half. Meanwhile, Mill Valley scored three more touchdowns and took a 24-6 lead into halftime.
BSHS struck with a touchdown just 45 seconds into the third quarter, and with that the rally was on. The Braves' defense made four stops on fourth down during the second half, and the offense punched in two more scores to claim the narrow victory.
The Braves now are 5-0 for the season.
