Class to teach historical acting

Leavenworth County will sponsor a two-day workshop conducted by Ride into History, a historical performance touring troupe.
The free workshop will focus on creating first-person narratives. Participants will begin at 8:30 a.m. and meet all day Saturday, and again, beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday. Both sessions will be at the Leavenworth County Courthouse.
Those who finish the workshop will have a chance to showcase their talents Dec. 12, at the Leavenworth County Christmas Open House.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
