Library plans events for job-seekers

Bonner Springs City Library will be the site for job seeking and resume writing classes presented by Workforce Partnership of Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties.
There will be a job-search workshop, "10 Things That Will Get You Hired," at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, and a resume workshop, "Keeping Your Resume Out of the No Pile," at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22., in the lower level of the Community Center, 200 E. Third St.
Both programs require sign up by either calling the library at (913) 441-2665 or stopping by.
More classes will be offered in upcoming months based on demand and participants' needs.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
