Bonner citywide yard sale coming

Bonner Springs Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring its second citywide yard sale Saturday, Sept. 27.
For $5, sales will be listed with addresses and a few offered items in a booklet that will be available for $1 at the Community Center, 200 E. Third St.
New for this year will be the opportunity for out-of-towners to display their goods in the city parking lot at the corner of Cedar and Third streets. $5 buys a 9-by-18 foot space and a general listing of goods in the booklet. The deadline for registration is Friday, Sept. 19.
Booklets will be available 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Sept. 26 and 7 a.m.-10 a.m. Sept. 27.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
