- Chad and Candace Bowman, of Basehor, announce the birth of their daughter, Jillian Claire Bowman, born Oct. 21, 2009 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Jillian weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 18.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Jay and Pam Frazey, Edwardsville. Paternal grandparents are Pat Bowman and the late Dan Bowman, Bonner Springs.
- Jason and Sheldon Riley, Tonganoxie, announce the birth of a son, Beau Austin Riley. He was born at 5:03 p.m. Sept. 27, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Danny and Donna Bradley, Tonganoxie. Paternal grandparents are Leon and Carolee Riley, Basehor. Beau was welcomed home by his brother, Ethan, 22 months.
