Council honors Black History Month- February 12, 2009
- One hundred years ago the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) came into existence. And at Monday night’s City Council meeting, Mayor Clausie Smith presented the first proclamation for Black History Month ever to be received by the organization’s Bonner Springs chapter.
