University of St. Mary’s announces dean’s list of area students

Leavenworth — University of St. Mary’s dean’s list for the fall 2008 semester includes several area students. To earn a spot on the list, students needed a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the semester.
Area students on the list are:
Jesse Noell, Amy Schlicht and Lisa Wynn, all of Basehor; Brandon Hoch, Christina Johnson, Rachelle Marx, Justin Moulin, Kaitlin Peterson and Shauna Putnam, all of Bonner Springs; Cameron Burch, Heather Folscroft, Emily Kempker, Alyse Lindsay and Kristyn Wing, all of Kansas City, Kan.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
