Humanities Council seeks nominees

The Kansas Humanities Council is currently seeking nominations of Kansans for service on its 22-member board of directors.
The board is made up of volunteer members. The board has financial oversight of the organization, takes an active and participatory role in fundraising, sets policy and promotes awareness of the council. Board members serve for a three-year term, with the possibility of renewal for a second three-year term. Meetings of the full board are conducted three times a year in locations across the state.
Nominations for the upcoming selection round are due by March 27. All nominations are retained in a register of nominees for a three-year period.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
