Parents seek support for project graduation

Bonner Springs Project Graduation 2010 has started work to raise money to provide the Bonner Springs High School Class of 2010 with a safe, drug-free, alcohol-free after-graduation party.
This year, the organization will continue with the tradition of running a fireworks stand from July 1-4. This year’s stand will be at Porter’s Buggy Bath/Ensign Storage at Kansas Highway 7 and 130th Street, next to the Quick Trip north of the Interstate 70 interchange.
Other projects include concession stands at Capitol Federal Park at Sandstone concerts and the Kansas Speedway during the Good Guy Car Show in September and the NASCAR race in October, as well as booths at Tiblow Days, Edwardsville Autumnfest, Kobi’s Poker Run and the 50/50 drawing at Bonner Springs High School games.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
