BSE to present information to kindergartner parents

Bonner Springs Elementary will have a Kindergarten Parent Informational Meeting Night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in the school cafeteria. Parents of children who will be 5 on or before Aug. 31, 2009, and who live in the BSE attendance area are encouraged to attend. Parents can come and meet the principal, kindergarten teachers and other school staff members, and learn what to expect as their child enters kindergarten. If parents are uncertain of their attendance area, please call Debbie Elmer at the USD 204 Transportation Office at (913) 441-2493.

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
