The Bonner Springs Tourism Committee has announced the winners in the 2009 Scarecrows on Parade contest.

The list of winners is as follows:

Best of show

• First place: Alice Campbell, “Scared Crow,” 315 N. Nettleton

• Second place: Bonner Springs City Hall, “Recycled Scarecrow,” 205 E. Second St.

• Third place: Blessed Trinity Home Health, “Staff and Patients Scarecrows,” 1400 S. 130th St.

Commercial division

• First place: Union Bank and Trust, “Around the Campfire,” 309 Oak St.

• Second place: Freseros Mexican Restaurant, “Hispanic Cowpokes and Jose Quervo,” 220 Cedar

• Third place: Good Beginnings Child Care, “Our Family,” 616 W. Morse Avenue

Residential division

• First place: Beth Enloe, “Home From the Library,” 301 Allcutt

• Second place: Mike and Betty Walker, “Scarecrow Couple with Friends,” 318 N. Park

• Third place: Martha Gamble, “Around the Fishing Hole,” 54 Ashwood

Honorable mention

• Berning Tire, “Swingin’,” 306 Oak St.

• Able Inc., “Land of the Free and Home of the Braves,” 101 S. Nettleton

• Kansas City Renaissance Festival’s Children’s Realm, “Dragon Crow,” Centennial Park

In the best of show category, first place will receive $100, second place will receive $70, and third place will receive $65. In both the commercial and residential division categories, first place will receive $60, second place will receive $40, and third place will receive $25.
