Complete schedule for Marble Days 2010

Marble Days is Saturday, May 1. Here is a full schedule of the day's activities:
• 9-10 a.m.: Marble art registration. This is a competition for creating marble art. These inventions could be a marble toy, game, raceway, gadget, machine, ect.
• 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.: Wacky Parade, from Third and Oak to Centennial Park. Wear your wackiest outfit, ride your decorated bicycle, or walk your dog on a leash and join us in starting Marble Days off right. The parade lineup at the 300 block of Oak Street will take place at 9:45 a.m. and the parade procession will start at 10 a.m. The opening ceremony will immediately follow once the parade reaches Centennial Park. Prizes will be awarded for the wackiest outfit/bike/wagon.
• 10:15-10:30 a.m.: Opening Ceremony at Centennial Park. We will kick off the day at Centennial Park with the singing of our National Anthem, followed by some wacky words from Mr. Bruce Breslow himself.
• 10:30 a.m.: Stupid Pet Tricks at Centennial Park. Watch crazy pets do silly things! Anyone can bring a pet for the Stupid Pet Tricks.
• 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Old-Fashioned Games and Marble Activities, Centennial Park and Oak Street. Zany old-fashioned games that are open to all ages, including events that will allow participants to learn various games with marbles.
• 11 a.m.: Marble Tournament. Marble tournament will take place in Centennial Park. This event is for ages 7-15, and will allow participants to compete against each other in a game called ringer.
• 12p.m.: Cake Walk at Centennial Park
• 1:30 p.m.: Running of the Pinkys down Oak Street. The idea is simple, a giant “marble run” will be created on a portion of Oak Street. Pinky balls will be dumped at Third and Oak to roll and bounce their way through a series of obstacles to the finish “hole” at Second and Oak. Balls will be for sale in advance at participating businesses and on location the morning of the event. The first balls to make it to the finish will win a prize. 1st prize - $150, 2nd prize - $100, 3rd prize - $50. Runner-ups will receive gift certificates to various Bonner Springs merchants. One-half of the proceeds from the sale of Pinky balls will be donated to the Bonner Springs Senior Citizen/Nancy Jones Johnson Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors from Bonner Springs High School.
• 2 p.m.: Announcement of Pinky Ball Winners at Centennial Park
