Rotary Club plans ‘to roast’ community member

The first annual Bonner Springs Rotary Roast is honoring local community celebrity Roger Miller on Saturday, Feb. 27. The roast will be just the beginning of celebrating well known Bonner Springs community members who are “roast-worthy.”
The goal is to raise more than $3,000 for polio.
The Roast will be at the Lake of the Forest Club House in Bonner Springs. Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m. with live jazz music; dinner is at 7 p.m.; and the Roast will be at 8 p.m.
Please plan for formal dress.
Roasters include Dan Miller, Bryan Albers, John Tiny McTaggart, Walter Greer, and Del Coleman. The event will be hosted by well know entertainer and magician David Sandy and Rotarian President Judy Miksch.
Tickets are $55 regular, which includes dinner, music, entertainment and one drink ticket; and $85 VIP, which includes VIP seating, dinner, music, entertainment, two drink tickets, bottles of wine on tables and personal noise makers. Only 30 seats available.
