Kiwanis hear UG news

The Edwardsville Kiwanis Club heard the final in a series of programs about local government during its meeting last week at Sister’s Restaurant.
Tom Cooley, seventh district commissioner for the Unified Government, was the featured speaker. He discussed issues faced by the UG, including problems at the jail. He pointed out the area is still growing and expanding with a number of new businesses expected to come on line this year.
