Opening of Wyandotte County Lake postponed

Previously scheduled to open Saturday, March 6, the Wyandotte County Lake’s opening has been postponed until Saturday, March 13, due to freezing temperatures that have caused the lake to freeze.
The lake is available for such activities as fishing and boating and the March 13 date also applies to other fishing lakes in the Unified Government of Wyandotte County, including Pierson Lake.
The Wyandotte County Lake’s opening day breakfast at Davis Hall and the afternoon fish fry, has also been postponed until March 13.
It is still possible that this newly scheduled date may still have to be postponed if the freezing temperatures continue. “For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
