Two men are in custody on suspicion of robbing the Bonner Springs Dollar General, 120 Oak St., over the weekend. A third suspect is still at large.

The robbery took place at 6 p.m. Saturday. Lt. Rick Schubert with the Bonner Springs Police Department said three men entered the Dollar General and showed at least one gun to the cashier requesting money from the register. A second Dollar General employee was also present at the time.

Schubert said he was unsure as to how much money was stolen, but said the robbers fled upon receiving the money. No one was injured during the robbery.

A vehicle description was given to law enforcement following the robbery. Schubert said the vehicle containing the alleged suspects was spotted by the Edwardsville Police Department.

Upon fleeing from the Edwardsville Police Department, a short pursuit occurred that ended when the suspects' vehicle crashed and was disabled at Kansas Highway 32 and 78th Street.

Two of the three men in the car were taken into custody at the scene of the crash and a third man escaped from police.

Schubert said no information about the third man is being released at this time.
