Edwardsville Kiwanis Club accepts MNT initiative

Ian Sanders, Edwardsville Kiwanis Club secretary, gave a presentation regarding an international program the club has accepted.
The program, the Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus Elimination Initiative, affects 40 countries around the world dealing with the tragic effects of maternal and neonatal tetanus. According to the World Health Organization, the disease is extremely lethal and is a common result of unhygienic birth deliveries.
The Kiwanis Club meets each Thursday morning at Sisters Restaurant.
