Class allows residents to be ‘label detectives’

A nutrition label detectives class will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25, in the Bonner Springs Community Center, 200 E. Third St.
In the class, which will be taught by wellness educator Christy Axford, families will learn how to read food labels and detect marketing deceptions while simultaneously learning to identify and choose healthier foods.
The presentation will also include food displays and hands-on activities.
The fee is $10 per family for Bonner Springs residents and $15 per family for non-residents. The class is appropriate for ages 5 to adult.
