Work will begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, on the Kansas Highway 32 bridge just west of 18th Street Trafficway in Wyandotte County.
The bridge repair project includes the replacement of expansion joints on the bridge deck, with the first phase of construction placing traffic on the south half of the bridge while repairs are completed on the north half. Traffic will then shift to the north half of the bridge while repairs are made to the south half.
Work will take place during daylight hours Monday through Friday, and the occasional Saturday, on this $83,146-repair project.
Advance message boards will alert traffic to lane closures as they occur, but lane closure updates can also be found online at ksdot.org/ kcmetro/lanceclose
