BSHS students sing in concert
The Bonner Springs High School Chorale and Concert Choir, Women's Ensemble and A Cappella Choir were among groups that performed Thursday during BSHS' annual Holiday Choral Concert. Enlarge video
The Bonner Springs High School music department played host Thursday to a Holiday Choral Concert at the high school.
Groups that performed included the Chorale and Concert Choir, Women's Ensemble, Project XX and A Cappella Choir. The Christmas spirit was brought to life through songs that included "Santa Baby," "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," "The First Noel" and "Sing We Now of Christmas."
Music groups at BSHS will next perform Feb. 9, 2012, during the USD 204 Choral Festival and Concert. And a performance by the BSHS A Cappella Choir will be televised live as part of NBC Action News' "Sounds of the Holiday" telecast at the following times and on the following stations:
• Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, on KMCI (Time Warner Cable channel 8) and KSHB (Time Warner Cable channel 13)
• 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, on KSHB (Time Warner Cable channel 13)
• 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, on KMCI (Time Warner Cable channel 8).

The postal service is cutting back hours at some rural post offices. How often do you go to the post office?
“For my own personal use, I only go a couple times a year to mail gifts, usually around Christmas and family birthdays. At that time I usually buy a couple books of stamps that last for most of the year! For professional use, I go a couple times a month to check our PO Box.”
