KCK man, 20, was victim of fatal wreck in Shawnee
The victim of Saturday’s fatal crash in Shawnee was a Kansas City, Kan., man.
The wreck happened about 2:15 on Interstate 435 at the Johnson Drive intersection, killing 20-year-old Niquetta A. Wilson, according to a preliminary report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Wilson was driving southbound on I-435 when, for unknown reasons, his car drifted off the road into the median, went airborne and hit a bridge pillar, the patrol reported. He died at the scene.
Wilson was not wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol’s report. No one else was injured in the crash.
