Donahoo road project done

The Public Works Department for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kan., had a ribbon-cutting event on Friday, Dec. 16, to celebrate completion of the reconstruction of Donahoo Road.
The first phase of the three-mile road construction project began in the fall of 2010 on the section between 115th to 131st streets. The next phase began in the spring of this year from 131st to Kansas Highway 7. Both phases have been substantially completed at this time.
Approximately 80 percent of the $7.2 million project was federally funded and administered through the Kansas Department of Transportation.
