Snow Angels’ back in action

January 6, 2011

The city of Bonner Springs will coordinate the “Snow Angels” program again this year to help clear primary sidewalks, driveways or driveway entrances for those individuals who need assistance.

The program works by connecting people who are willing to volunteer their time to clear snow with those who are not physically and financially able to do so. If you or someone you know is unable to remove snow or if you are willing to volunteer as a Snow Angel, please contact the City’s Environmental Code Enforcement Officer at 667-1703 or City Hall at 422-1020.

A list of Snow Angel volunteers and residents seeking assistance will be prepared, and city personnel will coordinate the volunteer effort to remove snow for those who are unable to do it themselves. Snow removal efforts will commence after the city has completed plowing.

As always, the city appreciates everyone’s patience during large snow events.
