Clark Middle School falls in 7th-grade football

The Clark Middle School seventh-grade football team lost its season-opener 46-8 to Piper on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

CMS had a solid first drive that featured numerous runs by Logan Kirkman and Danny Bradley, who scored on a running play and also carried for the 2-point conversion.

Defense proved costly for Clark, however, and tackling woes allowed Piper to seize control.

CMS (0-1) was back in action Tuesday at Lexington Trails. Results were unavailable at press time.
