Shocked by council behavior

To the editor:

I attended the Sept. 19 Basehor City Council meeting, and I was shocked and confused when the chief of police and the mayor did nothing when David Breuer, council member, got up, threw papers against the wall, cursed and stormed out of the building. This behavior is unbecoming to a city official and totally unacceptable.

David Breuer probably had seen enough of the irresponsible childish behavior from other council members. If he violated no rules or laws what are the Mayor and chief of police to do? You cannot make rule as you go.
