Utilities director completes certification program

Rick Sailler, Bonner Springs utilities director, recently completed a national certification program for utility management.
The certification program, sponsored through the National Rural Water Association, covers public relations, financial planning and technical and managerial capabilities.
Sailler is one of a handful of utility managers in the Kansas City metropolitan area that is certified for both water and wastewater operations. He previously obtained the highest certification by Kansas Department of Health & Environment for Water Supply Systems and Wastewater Treatment Facilities and has certifications for water distribution and wastewater collection along with an AAS degree in water quality management.
