Wyandotte County results unavailable, but some votes tallied in local races

Results are still coming in, with no results yet reported from Wyandotte County, but some votes have been tallied in the Senate primary races covering Bonner Springs and Edwardsville.
In Senate District 5’s Republican primary, with 30 of 47 precincts reporting, Steve Fitzgerald leads Mark Gilstrap with 71 percent of the votes, 583 to 238. The district covers all of Bonner Springs and the western half of Edwardsville.
In Senate District 6’s Democratic primary, Pat Pettey leads political newcomer with 89 percent of the vote, but only 75 votes in one precinct have been reported thus far.
