December 13, 2012

The USD 204 Education Foundation presented its Excellence in Education Award winners for November Monday as the USD 204 Board of Education meeting.

Award winners were Tammy Meisenheimer, fifth grade teacher at Bonner Springs Elementary School, and Marsha Nelson, French instructor and National Honors Society sponsor at Bonner Springs High School.

Meisenheimer was honored for her leadership, as a member of the school’s leadership team, and her passion and commitment to the students at BSE. In addition, the foundation stated that her teaching style and caring personality enable her to impact students, parents and colleagues.

Nelson has devoted 38 years of her life to district students. She continues to improve her educational skills and pass along those skills to her French students at the high school. She treats all students and coworkers with care and respect.
