Class aims for healthy kids
A new class designed to introduce children to fun ways to eat healthy and be active will be offered this spring at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Entitled “Healthy Fit Kids”, the class will be offered each Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in the KCKCC Wellness Center beginning March 31 and running through April 28.
Different fitness workouts including Yoga and Simba will be offered each week along with an introduction to a new sport or fitness activity such as soccer, flag football and track and field. Participants also will learn about good and healthy foods and ideal portion sizes.
The cost is $65 and includes a special Healthy Fit Kids T-shirt. Register by calling 913-288-7660 with credit card payment; in person in the Community Education Building on east side of the college campus at 7250 State Avenue; or online at kckcc.edu under Continuing Education and Spring 2012 Schedule.
