A one-point loss to Mill Valley on Feb. 10 wasn't enough to derail the Bonner Springs girls basketball team's hopes for a No. 1 seed in the 4A sub-state tournament, thanks to four-straight victories.

The Braves (19-1) will host Perry-Lecompton (5-15) at 7 p.m. on Monday in the tournament's first round. A live broadcast of the game can be found in the video above.

The girls defeated rival Basehor-Linwood on Friday, 44-24, in a game that saw a 14-13 halftime score. Yessenia Hernandez scored more than 18 points for the second straight game in the victory.
