Community invited to former judge’s birthday celebration

The children of Marlin Kerby will have a celebration of his 90th birthday from 12 to 3 p.m., Sunday, June 24, at the Bonner Springs Community Center. Friends and family are asked to bring their memories and birthday wishes but no gifts.

Kerby was born June 22, 1922. A lifelong Bonner Springs resident, he served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and was a prisoner of war. After his service, he worked in insurance and served 44 years as Bonner Springs’ municipal court judge.
