Church to celebrate 50 years

Bonner Springs Church of Christ, 419 E. Morse Ave., will celebrate its 50th Anniversary Sunday, Oct. 7.

The church’s first members began meeting in Bonner Springs in the fall of 1962 with plans to build a building and plant a New Testament church of Christ, organizing

a campaign called Operation Concentration to purchase land and build their church. New additions to the building followed in 1984, adding a fellowship hall, kitchen and

additional classrooms and utility space for the growing congregation.

All past preachers and members, as well as the public, are invited to morning worship and a Celebration Dinner following worship Oct. 7. For more information, contact lead pastor Jim Braley at 913-422-5529.
