Education Foundation ready to begin annual campaign

Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Education Foundation is seeking donations for its 2012 Annual Campaign.

The campaign began with visits to schools and support departments in the month of September. Members of the Foundation Board discussed with teachers and staff members the various programs, gifts, grants and scholarships that were addressed through the funds contributed in 2011. In total, more than $50,000 has been distributed or committed to students, teachers and staff in the past 14 months.

A second phase of the program will begin in November when the Foundation will ask local business partners and vendors to again join the foundation in the continuance of its mission to develop and distribute resources to USD 204 for programs, projects and initiatives that enhance the quality of education.

The external campaign will begin in November and continue until the end of the year. In 2011, the Annual Campaign raised $20,000 for programs, grants, and scholarships.

Donations and contributions can be given in the following ways:

• Check or cash: complete the back of a foundation brochure, or send check or cash to the foundation office

• Online: go to the Give2Schools link on the Foundation website

• District employees may complete the Payroll Deduct Form
