County museum offers graveyard tour

The Wyandotte County Historical Museum will offer a “Tombstones in History” tour Oct. 17.
Set from 8 a.m. to noon, the tour will take visitors through the cemeteries of Wyandotte County to find the graves of its famous and infamous residents from early settlers to sports heroes and movie stars. Trish Schurkamp, museum director, and long-time resident Jim Masson will guide the tour.
The $35 ticket price includes lunch. Reservations are requested by Oct. 12. Contact Schurkamp at (913) 573-5002 to make a reservation or for more information.
