Bonner police arrest three accused drug dealers in six days
It has been a busy week for Bonner Springs police, who have been tracking down accused drug dealers and have made three arrests in six days.
Lt. Rick Schubert said the most recent arrest was made today. Shelia A. Williams, 56, of Bonner Springs was arrested on a warrant issued by the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office for distribution of methamphetamines in the 300 block of east Second Street in Bonner. The warrant was issued as a result of a joint drug investigation between the Bonner Springs and Edwardsville police departments, Schubert said.
Williams’ bond was set at $25,000, Schubert said. He credited officers Tom Haas and Jeff Weissman in tracking down the accused woman.
Bonner police arrested and charged two other accused drug dealers last week. Storm Bellamy, 26, of Kansas City, Kan., was arrested Wednesday after undercover officers conducted a controlled purchase of drugs from him at the Bonner Springs Estates Mobile Home Court.
Schubert said Bellamy was arrested by Kansas City, Kan., police for a probation violation warrant and while in custody, the District Attorney filed additional charges for distribution of methamphetamines. His bond was set at $10,000.
In a separate case, Schubert said Christopher Reaves, 46, of Bonner Springs was arrested Friday on a Wyandotte County warrant for distribution of methamphetamines. Schubert credited officers Mark Zaretski, Ryan Smith and Dennis Cox for tracking down and arresting the suspect.
Reaves’ warrant also was a result of a controlled purchase of the drugs by police officers in the mobile home court. His bond also was set at $10,000.
