Bonner diner site of commercial shoot
Dari Dine, located at Kump and Nettleton avenues in Bonner Springs, was the scene for a commercial filmed Friday.
Regina Utter, executive director with the Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Chamber of Commerce, said she was contacted two weeks ago by a Kansas City production company, asking if the Bonner community had any authentic looking 1950s or 60s diners. Utter directed them to Dari Dine.
The production company was looking for a site to film a commercial for Longrange, a parasite control for cattle manufactured by Merial, an animal pharmaceutical health company. Utter said the production company never initially confirmed they would use the Bonner site, but on Friday, when they took over Dari Dine to film the commercial, she was able to contact them and get more information.
Utter said she was told the commercial only would be aired on a farmers network via satellite. But Longrange sometimes uploads their videos to YouTube, so Utter plans to check their YouTube channel periodically and if she discovers the commercial, she will share the news via the chamber’s website and social media.
Utter said she was told the production firm hoped to complete editing on the commercial this week and was to deliver it to Longrange as soon as possible, so it may not be long before area residents can see it.
